Tragedy struck yesterday in the otherwise quiet area near Tobyhanna in Monroe County when a chartered helicopter crashed due to bad weather conditions killing 2 and injuring one. The group was returning from a golf outing in Elmira, New York when the weather turned bad and the group attempted to reach Mt. Pocono Municipal Airport. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. This is a terrible tragedy and our sympathies go out to the families of those whose lives were suddenly taken, to the injured survivor and the community of Tobyhanna.
